I’ve always been fascinated by animals and in particular what makes them tick. Dog behavior has become a calling for me. To learn to communicate and to work with them is my passion.

Dogs will be dogs.. My goal is to educate you in dog behavior and learning theory to help you develop a solid communication system and build a better relationship with your dog.

My first dog Tank was a Pitbull Mastiff mix I got as a puppy, who grew into a big boisterous energetic dog with way more energy than I knew how to deal with and I knew I needed to find a way to channel and control it. I learned to deal with reactivity and aggression when Tank, previously a kindhearted soul, was jumped and attacked by another dog, changing his attitude toward other dogs in a terrible way.  I knew I wanted to help others deal with this trauma so their dogs could recover and stay in their homes.

After Tank I found Otto, an Ibizan hound, drawn to his athleticism, speed and style. A sighthound,  bred to chase and run, he has taught me a lot  about impulse control and prey drive. We currently train in Tracking and Agility

A most exciting project is my Dutch Shepherd, Drax, who has shown tremendous talent for both obedience and Tracking, and we are training in IPO* as well.

My journey led me to study at the prestigious Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers, where I completed several courses.  I am now on my own path, which  led me to establish Adapt Canine Services in order to help others find the  enjoyment I have with my pets.
